Wine Portfolio AI Tool – Analyse, Drink or Hold
Ever wished your wine cellar came with its own financial advisor and sommelier rolled into one? Well, that’s exactly what I’ve been building. The WineGuide101 Portfolio Dashboard is now live in beta – and it’s free to try.
Here’s the fun bit: upload your wine list (via a simple CSV template) and within minutes you’ll get:
- Drink / Hold / Sell recommendations – because sometimes it’s nice to know if patience really is a virtue.
- Tasting notes – think of it as a cheat sheet for sounding clever at dinner.
- Portfolio value – see what your collection is worth right now.
- 5-year projections – a glimpse into the crystal decanter of your future gains – perhaps not prophecy, but grounded in knowledge and AI-powered experience.
I ran my own cellar through it and, to my relief (and slight smugness), the results lined up with what I suspected. Bordeaux still flexes its muscles, Tuscany charms, and the odd Aussie icon continues to hold strong. The analysis even told me which bottles I could crack open tonight without any pangs of regret.
Of course, there are no guarantees – this is AI we’re talking about, not Mystic Meg with a corkscrew. The system uses GPT analysis, meaning it’s clever, fast, and occasionally prone to overconfidence. But for a free tool, it’s surprisingly accurate and very entertaining.
How to play with it:
- Download the CSV template.
- Fill it in with your wines (producer, vintage, cases, cost, etc.).
- Upload at WineGuide101.app.
- Sit back with a glass and wait for your portfolio to be analysed.
